Your email address is yours. We use it for one thing — sending you Campus Report every Wednesday. We don't sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. No exceptions. No loopholes. That's a promise, not a legal disclaimer.

      Plain English summary: We collect your email to send you the newsletter. We track what links you click so we can make it better. We also keep a referral code so we can credit referrals. We never sell your data. You can unsubscribe anytime with one click.
    

1. What We Collect

When you subscribe we collect your first name and email address. That's it. When you visit our site we collect standard analytics data — pages viewed, links clicked, device type, and approximate location from your IP address. We use Beehiiv as our email platform, which tracks whether you opened an email and which links you clicked.

We also generate a unique referral code for each subscriber. If you signed up through someone's referral link, we record which code referred you. That's how we credit referrals and run our referral leaderboards — that's the only reason we keep it.

2. Why We Collect It

We use your information to send you Campus Report every Wednesday, improve our content based on what people actually read and click, and show advertisers aggregated stats like "this issue had a 45% open rate." We never show advertisers your individual data — only totals and percentages.

3. What We Never Do

We never sell your email address or personal information to anyone
We never share your individual data with advertisers
We never use your data to train AI models
We never send you emails from third parties
We never track you across other websites

4. Who We Share Data With

We use Supabase as our database to store your subscriber record, Beehiiv to deliver our emails, and Vercel to host our website. These companies are contractually required to protect your data. Beyond these essential service providers we share your data with nobody.

5. Your Rights

You can unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of any email. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it entirely by emailing legal@campusreport.co. We'll respond within 30 days. When we delete your data, we also clear your referral linkage — your referral code and any record of who you referred or who referred you.

6. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies to remember your preferences like your campus selection. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

Campus Report is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

8. Changes

If we ever change this policy we'll tell you in the newsletter before it takes effect. We won't make changes that reduce your privacy rights without giving you a chance to unsubscribe first.
